What is Co-Funding?

Youth in the slums are challenged; risk of school dropout, family breakdown, unplanned pregnancies, involvement in drugs, alcohol and crime as well as prostitution and gangs. Those who become marginalised families are even more at risk. There is strong evidence that a young person’s social and emotional capabilities; skills, beliefs and attitudes, have a crucial role in success in adult life.

This project seeks to lift 100 of the most vulnerable youth out of cyclical poverty, through the use of 1 to 1 trained social worker sessions using the ‘My Star’ model and group work.
