What is Co-Funding?

Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. With fifteen years of experience awarding grants and working in partnership with children’s organisations around the world, the ALMT is best placed to support you in your philanthropy.

During the Covid-19 pandemic many young people leaving care, are becoming more isolated than ever and they have no family to fall back on or other social networks. Care leavers are finding themselves stranded at their place of residence or university, without family support and assistance. For many, isolation triggers memories of early childhood neglect or abandonment. They are no longer able to work as their part time jobs have disappeared and their costs have gone up.

Siblings Together is working hard to provide creative activities online to ensure people are able to link to each other and reduce a sense of isolation. Offering a vital connection within a creative, safe, community space online, is highly important at this time of dreadful fear and worry. This project is providing emergency food and/or covering of mobile phone bill costs for to up to 100 young Care leavers who are the most in need. Funding is also enabling Siblings Together to support this group on an individual basis.
