The Next Generation Home (NGH), was established by three local men (one of whom is now the AfriKids Ghana Director) who in 1997 converted a public toilet into a home and took 14 children off the streets. Afrikids have partnered with them since 2002 and together have since built an enormous transitional residential centre which cares for some of the toughest kids from the streets of Bolgatanga, Ghana.

The home is focused on reintegrating children back into secure homes and preventing other children from becoming so desperate that they are forced to seek out a living on the streets. Their seventh hand truck which Afrikids bought for £1,500 in 2002 finally collapsed causing huge repercussions across the project. It was used on their farm, on the outreach projects (many of the children have walked from Burkina Faso to Bolga so visiting their extended families is not a simple task) and dealing with emergency health and child trafficking incidences. ALMT agreed to fund a decent second hand one (including all servicing and maintenance for this year) and thus Angus Mobile was born!
